Roller chain sizes are established by four principal dimensions: pitch, inside width of the roller link, roller diameter, and plate thickness. Pitch, the distance in inches between centers of adjacent ?exing joints, kinds the proportional basis for the remaining dimensions. Chain dimension is designated from the pitch dimension, and chain length is expressed when it comes 
to pitch, or in feet and inches.
